The 2009 Summit explored the theme of Maximizing the Energy Efficiency Solution to demonstrate the growth, benefits and solutions of energy efficiency as a first-priority energy resource for the Northeast. This two-day event brought together leaders from across the region in public policy, business, energy efficiency solutions, and consumer and environmental advocacy, to support the vision of energy efficiency as a solution to the challenge of reliable and clean energy.

Opening Night Reception Featuring Leadership in New York

NEEP's 2009 Summit kicked off with a reception highlighting the energy efficiency leadership of the host state of New York. The event left attendees informed about energy efficiency in New York, from top to bottom.

Workforce Development Workshop

Responding to the explosion in demand for trained energy efficiency professionals, NEEP hosted a career development workshop to share lessons from regional experts. The workshop featured information for students interested in an introduction to efficiency and provided mid-career professionals exposure to an array of efficiency topics that will extend the breadth of their efficiency knowledge.

Business Leaders' Recognition Luncheon

Our prestigious Business Leaders' recognition program highlighted the accomplishments of businesses that are participating in energy efficiency programs across the region. The 2009 Northeast Business Leaders for Energy Efficiency Recognition Program offered a special opportunity to celebrate businesses which demonstrate outstanding acts of leadership and best practices in energy efficiency.
