LEXINGTON, MA - March 9, 2010 - The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has awarded Northeast Retail Products Initiative a 2010 ENERGY STAR Sustained Excellence Award in recognition of its continued leadership in protecting our environment through energy efficiency. The Initiative's accomplishments will be recognized at an awards ceremony in Washington, D.C. on March 18, 2010.

The Northeast Retail Products Initiative, an ENERGY STAR partner since 2001, will be honored for its long-term commitment to energy efficiency. For nearly a decade the Initiative, facilitated by Northeast Energy Efficiency Partnerships (NEEP), has leveraged members' collective resources to build greater market awareness and availability of energy efficient lighting and appliance products.

PHOENIX, Feb. 24, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Association of Energy Services Professionals (www.aesp.org) announced winners of its Energy Awards. Honorable Mention was given to Northeast Energy Efficiency Partnerships (www.neep.org) for Outstanding Achievement in Energy Program Design & Implementation for its DesignLights Consortium (DLC).

The Code Council's Sustainable Building Technology Committee (SBTC) wrapped up its work in drafting the Public Version of the new International Green Construction Code (IGCC) at its fifth and final session January 28-30 in Austin, Texas.  Also announced: The Code Council Board will appoint a 12-15 person Public Comment Hearing Committee. The public comment deadline is May 14, with public hearings scheduled for August 14-22 in Chicago.
