Cape Light Compact
The Cape Light Compact, as administered through Barnstable County, Massachusetts, is an inter-municipal regional energy services organization made up of all 21 towns of Barnstable and Dukes counties. Connecticut Energy Efficiency Fund
Created to address Connecticut’s increasing energy needs—and rising costs—the Connecticut Energy Efficiency Fund (CEEF) is an initiative to help homeowners and renters, small and large businesses, and state and local governments alike get in the habit of using energy more efficiently.
Connecticut Light & Power
Connecticut Light & Power provides more than 1.2 million customers with safe and reliable electricity. With annual revenues of approximately $3.5 billion, CL&P plays a major role in the growth and vitality of Connecticut's economy and quality of life.
Connecticut Municipal Electric Energy Cooperative
The Connecticut Municipal Electric Energy Cooperative is a publicly directed joint action supply agency formed by the state's municipal electric utilities in 1976 under authority of the state's General Statutes. CMEEC is owned by the municipal utilities in the cities of Groton and Norwich, the Borough of Jewett City, and the Second (South Norwalk) and Third (East Norwalk) Taxing Districts of the City of Norwalk, Connecticut. CMEEC also provides all the power required by other utilities participating in CMEEC including the Town of Wallingford Department of Public Utilities, the Bozrah Light and Power Company, and the Mohegan Tribal Utility Authority.
Connecticut Natural Gas
Connecticut Natural Gas is a dynamic company, and we're evolving to suit the needs of our customers, the environment, and the communities we serve. CNG is a wholly-owned subsidiary of UIL Holdings Corporation, and delivers natural gas to 155,000 customers in central Connecticut. CNG encourages natural gas customers to improve their homes to conserve energy, including through energy audits, weatherization, and insulation.
District of Columbia Sustainable Energy Utility
The District of Columbia Sustainable Energy Utility (DCSEU) is designed to help District households, businesses, and institutions save energy and money through energy efficiency and renewable energy programs.
Led by the Sustainable Energy Partnership, the DCSEU is committed to community engagement, economic development, job creation, and environmental preservation.
Efficiency Vermont
Efficiency Vermont is the nation's first statewide provider of energy efficiency services. We're operated by an independent, non-profit organization under contract to the Vermont Public Service Board. Efficiency Vermont provides technical assistance and financial incentives to Vermont households and businesses, to help them reduce their energy costs with energy-efficient equipment and lighting and with energy-efficient approaches to construction and renovation.
Long Island Power Authority
In May of 1998, the Long Island Power Authority became Long Island's primary electric service provider. Operating as a non-profit entity, LIPA has continued to serve the Island's growing population with a consistent commitment to cost-containment, efficiency and service reliability. LIPA is dedicated to improving the quality of life for everyone within its service territory.
National Grid
National Grid is an international energy delivery company. In the U.S., National Grid delivers electricity to approximately 3.3 million customers in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York and Rhode Island, and manages the electricity network on Long Island under an agreement with the Long Island Power Authority.
New Hampshire Electric Cooperative
Founded in 1939, New Hampshire Electric Cooperative is owned by the members it serves. NHEC provides energy and energy solutions to more than 80,000 members in 115 New Hampshire communities.
New York State Energy Research & Development Authority
NYSERDA strives to facilitate change through the widespread development and use of innovative technologies to improve the State's energy, economic, and environmental wellbeing. In fulfilling its mission, NYSERDA's workforce reflects its public service orientation, placing a premium on objective analysis and collaboration, as well as reaching out to solicit multiple perspectives and share information.
NSTAR Electric and Gas
NSTAR is the largest Massachusetts-based, investor-owned electric and gas utility, with revenues of approximately $3.3 billion and assets totaling approximately $8.3 billion. NSTAR transmits and delivers electricity and gas to 1.1 million electric customers in 81 communities and nearly 300,000 gas customers in 51 communities. NSTAR employs more than 3,200 employees in its regulated business.
Public Service of New Hampshire
Public Service of New Hampshire is the Granite State's largest electric utility, serving more than 490,000 homes and businesses throughout the state. Our personnel includes more than 1,200 employees who work and live in New Hampshire, contributing in many ways to the communities where they reside.
Southern Connecticut Gas
Southern Connecticut Gas is a dynamic company, and we're evolving to suit the needs of our customers, the environment, and the communities we serve. SCG is a wholly-owned subsidiary of UIL Holdings Company, and delivers natural gas to 165,000 customers in 22 Connecticut communities. SCG encourages natural gas customers to improve their homes to conserve energy, including through energy audits, weatherization, and insulation.
United Illuminating Company
The United Illuminating Company is a New Haven-based regional electric distribution company established in 1899. UI is engaged in the purchase, transmission, distribution and sale of electricity and related services to more than 324,000 residential, commercial and industrial customers in the Greater New Haven and Bridgeport areas.
Unitil
Unitil is a public utility holding company. Our subsidiaries provide gas and electric utility distribution operations; energy planning, procurement, marketing and consulting; and e-commerce solutions for customer acquisition of energy supplies in a competitive, deregulated environment.

Western Massachusetts Electric Company, commonly known as WMECO, is a main distributor of electricity in western Massachusetts, serving more than 200,000 customers. Yankee Gas
Yankee Gas Services Company is part of the Northeast Utilities System and Connecticut's largest natural gas distribution company, delivering natural gas to approximately 200,000 customers in 71 cities and towns. Yankee Gas is expanding Connecticut's energy options by extending the availability of clean, efficient, reliable natural gas throughout the state.
