NEEP Announcements

New Staff

NEEP is pleased to welcome two new members to our staff:

Josh Craft, Public Policy Research Analyst

Josh Craft has joined NEEP’s Public Policy team as a research analyst.  In this role he will conduct research, assist in the preparation of reports and generally support the development of educational materials to inform policymakers of the role of energy efficiency to meet public policy goals, including those within economic, environmental and energy system platforms.

Josh joins NEEP from Americans for Campaign Reform in Concord, N.H., where he served as a legislative assistant, supporting the group’s policy research and outreach. He previously served as a public policy specialist with the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) in Washington, D.C., where he managed advocacy efforts on energy and environmental policy for ASME’s members nationally.

A native of Pennsylvania and a resident of Somerville, Mass., he holds BA in History from Davidson College and an MA in American History from Brandeis University.

Natalie Hildt, Public Policy Outreach Manager

Natalie Hildt has joined NEEP’s Public Policy team as Policy Outreach Manager. In this role, she will manage NEEP’s policy and outreach efforts to track and support the organization’s participation in public forums to advance a clear and compelling case for continued public support of energy efficiency policies and programs.

Natalie comes to NEEP from National Grid, where, as a Senior Communications Specialist, she provided marketing and communications leadership for electric and gas energy efficiency programs serving the utility’s residential and business customers. She first joined National Grid/KeySpan in 2006 as a residential program manager working on gas energy efficiency programs across New England and New York.

She has had extensive public policy experience, beginning as a Program and Outreach Coordinator with 20/20 Vision in Washington DC, continuing as Associate Director of the Appliance Standards Awareness Project (ASAP), and serving from 2004 to 2006 as Director of Community Development for U.S. Rep. John F. Tierney of Massachusetts. In addition, Natalie was a program coordinator for Energy and Resource Solutions (ERS) of Haverhill, Mass., where she worked on a variety of energy efficiency programs, including building energy code training and as project coordinator for the Efficiency Maine commercial and industrial program.

A native of Amesbury, Mass., and a resident of Cambridge, Mass., Natalie holds a BA in Environment and Public Policy from Connecticut College and is currently a candidate for her MA in Communications Management from Emerson College.
