New Staff
NEEP is pleased to welcome two new members to our staff:
Sarah Eckstein, Regional Initiatives Associate
Sarah Eckstein works primarily on commercial program activities involving high energy efficiency lighting and HVAC systems, as well as on research and evaluation projects. Prior to joining NEEP, Sarah worked on a variety of environmental projects including consulting a NYC ground transportation company to develop an environmental management system, assisting in the development of Tompkins County, NY community reuse center and tracking energy efficiency and recycling programs in Long Island public schools for the Long Island Sierra Club. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a dual concentration in marketing and systems thinking and design from Ithaca College.
Vivian Myers-Marowitz, EM&V Forum Associate
Vivian assists NEEP’s administration and operation of the regional Evaluation, Measurement & Verification (EM&V) Forum and also provides administrative support to the Executive Director regarding meetings and communications with the NEEP Board of Directors.
Vivian comes to NEEP with over 20 years experience implementing and managing clinical and billing information systems in the pharmaceutical, home health, and mental health fields. In 2005 she founded and co-chaired a comprehensive sustainable energy planning committee for the Town of Concord, Massachusetts. The committee developed a plan with a three pronged strategic approach to sustainable energy use. The plan included recommendations for energy conservation, energy efficiency and renewable energy. Subsequent to her work with the Town of Concord, Vivian worked with a start-up renewable energy systems integrator to develop a critical comprehensive community outreach plan which included a citizen survey, a communications plan, and project development practices documents.
2009 Northeast Energy Efficiency Summit
NEEP is pleased to announce that the 2009 Northeast Energy Efficiency Summit: Maximizing the Energy Efficiency Solution will take place on May 27-28, 2009 at the Empire State Plaza Convention Center in Albany, New York. This year's event will include a workforce development workshop, a municipal leadership recognition reception, a full day conference and exhibition and a business leadership recognition luncheon.
