Creating Smart and Responsive Homes and Buildings
The health and safety of our attendees and colleagues is our highest priority. As of now, NEEP is currently reevaluating and considering alternative format options for 2020 events.
As homes and buildings in the Northeast adopt smart, energy efficient technologies to help advance decarbonization, there is a growing need for them to also be flexible and responsive to the modern grid. The Northeast Smart Homes and Buildings workshop will provide you with the opportunity to hear about new and emerging smart homes and buildings technologies. Key Northeast stakeholders will share their market transformation challenges and best practices for overcoming them. Workshop participants will explore key functionalities of grid-connected homes and buildings, key mechanisms for driving broader adoption of smart energy homes and buildings in accordance with grid modernization, and some of the grid-side challenges that need to be addressed to make large scale grid-connected efficient buildings a reality. Key stakeholders will include federal program representatives, energy efficiency program administrators/utilities, implementation experts, research and development professionals, manufacturers, installers, building owners, and facility managers.
