The third and final session in NEEP’s Low-Carbon Retrofit Solutions webinar series will provide examples of innovative and equitable solutions for community decarbonization. Leaders are working to address these issues by facilitating intake processes for safety and efficiency upgrades through collaborative partnerships. Weatherizing a home offers various benefits but is often times hindered by existing health and safety issues like asbestos, mold, and lead. This is especially true in older housing stock where safety issues must be addressed before efficiency improvements can be made. By leveraging partnerships around a continued commitment to advance the interconnection of health, homes, and energy, these issues can be addressed and lead to a more equitable and inclusive future.
