The Inflation Reduction Act and Bipartisan Infrastructure Law will enable unprecedented investment in energy efficiency and building decarbonization policies. Leveraging these resources at the state and community level can lead to generational changes in how the nation tackles energy infrastructure, energy affordability, climate action, and energy justice.

NEEP is developing a series of resources on several important topic areas as well as hosting stakeholder meetings to identify opportunities for regional market transformation. Below is an overview of what grants we are tracking within BIL and IRA, as well as a collection of all the resources we have available for stakeholders.

BIL and IRA Funding Streams

The Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) allocates a historic $62 billion for infrastructure and other costly capital projects, becoming one of the largest investments of its kind in American history. These funds provide investment opportunities in clean energy, building efficiency, broadband and communications networks, and more.

The Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) includes $369 billion in investment in climate change and energy security and is one of the most significant investments in climate in U.S. history. It includes specific funding for weatherization, electrification, workforce training, and building energy codes.

NEEP Resources

NEEP is hoping to be a resource to help state and community staff, program implementers, advocates and other stakeholders identify opportunities and advancements available with these funds. Below is a resource library of our BIL and IRA tools and Resources. In addition, we are available to meet to discuss these opportunities more and provide technical assistance.
