Rhode Island is aggressive in its savings goals, with a target of reducing electricity sales by 3.2 percent, which is highest in the nation. Through a collaborative effort among many stakeholders, Rhode Island is focusing on a number of efficiency areas that will lead to big savings. Among that focus is the business sector, including multi-branch Citizens Bank. Over more than 80 branch offices and operations centers, Citizens has worked to implement a comprehensive project that includes an emergency management system in data centers.
