Jazmin joined NEEP in June 2023 as a Staff Accountant. In this role, she is responsible for day to day accounting functions, fulfilling financial reporting requirements and providing tools and support to staff. Jazmin has over 10 years of accounting experience, five years specifically in the nonprofit sphere, and is currently finishing her BS in Accounting at University of Maryland.
Q: What book is currently on your nightstand?
A: I am currently reading The Vanishing Half by Brit Bennett but I always have my two “comfort” books nearby, which are, Milk & Honey by Rupi Kaur and The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho.
Q: Who is your hero? Why?
A: My older sister is by far the kindest, most caring person I know. I learn to be a better person by following her example.
Q: What’s something about you that would surprise us?
A: I consider myself a linguaphile and can speak and understand Arabic, Urdu and French. I’m currently learning Hindi.
