Post Webinar Update: You can find the webinar slide deck here.
NEEP is excited to share two new resources that support energy efficiency improvements for communities across the region who are eager to learn more about the multiple benefits of targeting these initiatives.
Water and Wastewater: Often times the largest source of energy consumption for municipal governments are drinking water and wastewater plants, accounting for 30-40 percent of the total energy consumed in a municipality (EPA). During this webinar, get a sneak peak of our recently published report, Opportunities for Strategic Energy Management in the Municipal Water Sector. This report identifies the value and prospects of targeting the municipal water sector for energy efficiency upgrades through strategic energy management programs. We will discuss valuable insights and lessons learned from early-adopters around the region as well as new programs launched in the Northeast.
Community Action Planning for Energy Efficiency (CAPEE): Lack of resource bandwidth and competing priorities – these are only a couple of the many challenges facing communities that prevent energy projects from moving forward at the local level. NEEP’s new online platform, CAPEE, seeks to overcome these issues by providing customized and concise action plans propelling communities over these hurdles and assisting them in the process of implementing energy efficiency improvements. Join the webinar for a first look at this new tool and to learn more about how it can assist your community.
