How are cities planning to achieve their climate goals? Policymakers tasked with delivering greenhouse gas emissions reductions from buildings need innovative solutions. One such strategy – Building Energy Performance Standards (BEPS) – is quickly becoming a top priority for cities and states. A great example of this innovative approach is the BEPS program in Washington D.C. which sets a minimum level of energy performance for various property types and requires buildings under that threshold to meet the established standard. This webinar will provide insights into the process behind D.C.’s efforts to develop and implement a BEPS program. Additionally, the EPA will share new resources to assist jurisdictions set up BEPS programs. Join us to learn how to craft innovative programs that help achieve our shared climate goals.
