September 27 | 11 AM EST
The Ready, Set, Scale. webinar series focuses on the mechanisms key to rapid, equitable decarbonization of the regional commercial and residential buildings sector. Join us all year long for discussions, analysis, and peer learning around collaborative, multi-state approaches to transform the energy efficiency market. These webinars will provide spaces for diverse industry market actors to come together.
Most Northeast and Mid-Atlantic states have aggressive long-term energy and carbon reduction goals. To meet these steep targets, community leadership must complement state leadership to drive low-carbon, efficient building solutions that meet local needs. Community-driven efforts can play a significant role in not only reaching these targets but also overcoming barriers to building electrification. Many municipalities are adopting policies and developing programs that support the unique needs of their communities. They are addressing building electrification and carbon reduction while also creating healthy, safe, resilient, affordable housing that supports a thriving, inclusive local economy. This webinar will examine the spectrum of community-led policies and plans – from voluntary programs to mandatory requirements – that communities can implement to educate building owners, streamline access to financial resources, and address other critical needs. Experts will highlight exemplary initiatives and engage in dialogue about expanding these types of programs across the region in this audience driven conversation.
