- LED Street Lighting Exemplar with Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission
Hosted by NEEP on Monday, December 4 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. EST.
Daylight is dwindling and the seasons are changing - but that doesn't mean you have to be left in the dark this winter!
Street lights are an integral piece of community infrastructure and they represent a huge opportunity for energy savings. Illuminating roadways and sidewalks can account for as much as 40 percent of a municipality’s electric utility bill. Converting to LEDs can significantly reduce that cost by up to 65 percent, or even more when incorporating lighting controls.
NEEP is hosting a free webinar on Monday, December 4 from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. to discuss the process of converting streetlights to LEDs. This webinar will highlight Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission’s Street Lighting Procurement program, showcase lessons learned, and discuss how it was able to help communities in its territory switch to LED street lights. Additionally, resources from the U.S. Department of Energy's Outdoor Lighting Accelerator Toolkit, and The Metropolitan Area Planning Commission will be shared.
Our speakers will include:
- Crystal McDonald, US Department of Energy
- Elizabeth Compitello, Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission
- Patrick Roche, Metropolitan Area Planning Council
Join us for an informational and engaging webinar so you aren’t left in the dark this winter.
