Event Date

The US Federal Energy Regulatory Commission’s (FERC) is expected to rule on the US Department of Energy’s proposed rulemaking on grid resiliency focused on whether steps need to be taken to support the continued operation of coal and nuclear plants to ensure grid reliability and resiliency, in December 2017. This ruling will determine the next steps in the debate about whether and what kind of additional resources are needed to keep the lights on across the US. NECEC’s Emerging Trends Series event will highlight how Clean Energy has been providing customers with resilient and reliable electricity service and how it can do more, and do it better and more cost-effectively than retaining increasingly uneconomic generation.
Please join the NECEC team and speakers from the industry, regulatory community and more to discuss how microgrids, energy storage, distributed generation, demand response and energy efficiency are proven solutions to the challenge of improving grid resiliency and reliability.
