Transforming Data into Action

Building energy benchmarking is a key first step to help jurisdictions understand and manage energy consumption. Benchmarking, however, should be part of a broader plan. Cities, towns, and states that have benchmarking programs, should also have strategies that turn benchmarking data into action. This report highlights leading-edge strategies such as building performance standards, trainings, and more that can be implemented utilizing data gained through the benchmarking process.
