Abby joined NEEP in 2024 as Senior Associate, Codes and Standards. In this role, Abby supports the several program areas through stakeholder engagement, meeting facilitation, research and analysis, and public speaking events.

Prior to joining NEEP, Abby was an Eagleton Institute of Politics Graduate Fellow working at the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities where she researched IRA funding opportunities. She was also an Environmental Defense Fund Climate Corps Fellow working with the New York City Housing Authority to study the feasibility of micro-scale anaerobic digestion as a food waste solution. Abby previously worked as an environmental engineer at Langan Engineering & Environmental Services, Inc. where she conducted on site remediation. 

Abby has a master’s degree in public policy with a concentration in environmental policy from the Edward J. Bloustein School at Rutgers University. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering from Cornell University. 

Q: What book is currently on your nightstand?

A: Pure America (Elizabeth Catte), What Your Food Ate (Anne Bikle and David R. Montgomery), and The Politics of Trash (Kathleen S. Sullivan and Patricia Strach).
 

Q: If you weren't working at NEEP, what other job would you have?

A: Fiber farmer! (particularly goats and bunnies)

 

Q: If you could spend one week anywhere in the world, where would it be? Why?

A: The Appalachian Trail! I am currently section-hiking and would take any extra time to do more miles.
