Manager, Codes and Standards
Energy Efficient Buildings

Abby works as a Manager on the Codes and Standards. In this role, Abby supports several program areas including appliance standards, electric rate design, and energy codes tracking through stakeholder engagement, meeting facilitation, research and analysis, and public speaking events.

Prior to joining NEEP, Abby was an Eagleton Institute of Politics Graduate Fellow working at the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities where she researched IRA funding opportunities. She was also an Environmental Defense Fund Climate Corps Fellow working with the New York City Housing Authority to study the feasibility of micro-scale anaerobic digestion as a food waste solution. Abby previously worked as an environmental engineer at Langan Engineering & Environmental Services, Inc. where she conducted on-site remediation.  

Abby has a master’s degree in public policy with a concentration in environmental policy from the Edward J. Bloustein School at Rutgers University. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering from Cornell University.

A: Under a White Sky (Elizabeth Kolbert), When the Moon Hatched (Sarah A. Parker), the Alchemy of Air (Thomas Hager)
 

Q: If you weren't working at NEEP, what other job would you have?

A: Fiber farmer! (particularly goats and bunnies)

 

Q: If you could spend one week anywhere in the world, where would it be? Why?

A: The Appalachian Trail! I am currently section-hiking and would take any extra time to do more miles.
