Join ACEEE staff, invited speakers (including NEEP's Julie Michals and the DesignLights Consortium's Liesel Whitney-Schulte), and attendees in celebrating 20 years of energy efficiency through market transformation.
ACEEE is celebrating 20 years of innovative thinking, collaborative action, and commitment to addressing the opportunities and challenges in market transformation. Continue to create connections and build bridges together in support of energy efficiency, by becoming an agent of change and participating in the 2016 National Symposium on Market Transformation.
Market transformation is defined as "strategic interventions that attempt to cause lasting changes in the structure or function of a market, or the behavior of market participants, resulting in an increase in the adoption of energy efficient products, services, or practices."
The National Symposium on Market Transformation is the premier spring event dedicated to energy efficiency. Over the last 19 years, the symposium has become a regular fixture for efficiency aficionados from the US and abroad. The symposium program, developed with guidance from an independent advisory committee, features leading thinkers, experts, and professionals who cover diverse and emerging topics within the scope of market transformation. The symposium program is spread over three days and is designed to provide ample opportunity to network, compare program ideas, and learn about new MT approaches. For newcomers to the field, the symposium includes a complimentary MT 101 workshop on market transformation conducted by a panel of experts.
Likely Participants Include: Policymakers; energy efficiency program implementers; local, state, and federal agency personnel; utility staff; researchers; efficiency advocates; energy professionals; consultants; students; and behavioral scientists.
Liesel Whitney-Schulte will moderate the panel Connected Lighting: Assessing the Present and Envisioning the Future on Monday, March 21 (1:30-3:00 p.m.) and Julie Michals will moderate the panel New Directions in EM&V: What Evaluators and Non-Evaluators Need to Know on Tuesday, March 22 (1:15-2:45 p.m.).
