Technical Reference Manual V2

The Mid-Atlantic Technical Reference Manual (TRM) project was sponsored by Delaware, Maryland, and the District of Columbia.  The Version 2 TRM documents in detail common savings assumptions for approximately fifty prescriptive residential and commercial/industrial electric and gas energy efficiency measures for use in program planning and calculation of program savings.  It is one of the few TRMs in the country to serve a multi-jurisdictional audience.

TRM Updating Process Guidelines

The Technical Reference Manual is the outcome of a project conducted for the Regional Evaluation, Measurement and Verification Forum (‘the EMV Forum’) sponsored by Maryland, Delaware and the District of Columbia. The intent of the project was to develop and document in detail common assumptions used to estimate savings and cost effectiveness for approximately thirty prescriptive residential and commercial/industrial electric energy efficiency measures.

2011 REED Annual Report

Prior to the public launch of the Regional Energy Efficiency Database (REED) in February 2013 energy efficiency stakeholders across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic states had to look to myriad sources for energy efficiency program results and associated information.

Net Savings Scoping Paper

The EMV Forum requested the preparation of a scoping paper with the purpose of improving Forum members’ understanding of how net energy savings is defined, how stakeholders use net savings, and the opportunities and barriers to increasing the consistency of and quality in net savings definitions and measurement in the region.

Net Savings Research Phase 2

This report, conducted for the Northeast Energy Efficiency Partnerships, Inc. (NEEP) and its Evaluation, Measurement, and Verification (EM&V) Forum (hereafter EMV Forum or the Forum), summarizes the results of research on net and gross savings definitions, and the treatment of energy savings estimates in the policies of various entities in the Northeast.

Commercial Lighting Measure Persistence Study

The primary objective of this study was to conduct primary and secondary research and analysis to provide the sponsors with estimates of measure lifetimes that included on-site verification of CFL bulbs and fixtures, LED exit signs, HID fixtures, and T8 fixtures installed by commercial and industrial lighting programs in New England and New York.  A second objective was to determine the expected operating lives (in hours) for the same equipment categories; based on secondary data.  A primary driver of this study was the need for lighting measure lives for use in submitting demand
